I currently run a BookOrbit server that allows KOReader progress sync. I can download the books from my BookOrbit server using OPDS. But it would nice if I could sync book progress using KOReader sync using either the BookOrbit or KOReader sync servers. They both should use the same protocol.

Thank you for the suggestion. BookShelves cannot sync reading progress with a KOReader sync server yet, so neither the KOReader sync server nor BookOrbit works for this today.
What works today: on a Mac, BookShelves can act as a Calibre wireless server for KOReader. It sends books and your BookShelves reading progress to KOReader. Progress made in KOReader does not come back into BookShelves yet.
