BookShelves
- There should be an easy way to import books from Apples Books program. I grant, this might not be possible for books, bought in Apple's Bookstore?
- As an option, the first page of a PDF should be displayed on its own. (Book Mode)

Apple Books import -- Unfortunately, books purchased from the Apple Bookstore are DRM-protected and Apple does not provide an API to access them from other apps. If you have DRM-free books that you added to Apple Books yourself, you can find the original files in Finder and import them into BookShelves directly. But there is no way to transfer purchased books -- this is an Apple restriction, not something we can work around.
PDF book mode (cover page solo) -- That is a good idea. BookShelves already supports two-page spreads for PDFs, but showing the first page on its own (like a real book cover) before starting the spread is not an option yet. I have noted it for a future update.
