Thanks for reporting this with the screenshots. This has been fixed - images in paginated mode should now stay intact on a single page instead of being split across column breaks.
The fix will be included in the next App Store update. If you run into any other rendering issues, you can also use the "Report Rendering Issue" option in the reader's appearance menu to send us details directly.
