There seems to be a bug where paragraphs that go over the page are moved to the next page instead of splitting over the page. This creates a blank space at the end of the page.
No partial paragraphs on pages in Epub

This has been fixed in the 1.0.25 release. Paragraphs now split correctly across pages instead of being pushed to the next page. We also fixed related column-break handling that could cause similar blank spaces. Thanks for reporting it!
