I tried to create an entry for my calibre server. The field gave an uneditable URL and I wanted to just change the port. The cursor would not move from the end of the URL.
When I typed it just stayed at the end of the URL but removed the URL and started from scratch — but with all the old URL appearing as spaces.
This is on a mac mini macOS 26.4 (25E246)

Hmm. Do you mean in Settings -> Advanced -> Webserver / ODPS ? Or Import from OPDS?
Import from OPDS.
I can provide a screen capture (if this site allowed it which any bug tracker should)

Beffore I typed the a I tried to move with mouse and keys
But it does not show up.
